ADAM Peaty has been banned from eating sweets by Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones as he’s started ‘losing his abs’.
The duo appeared on Strictly: It Takes Two tonight, where Janette Manrara grilled them on the secrets behind their rehearsals.
During the chat, Adam shared his love of Janette’s husband, Aljaz Skorjanec, crediting him as the inspiration behind his posture and energy throughout each routine, particularly in ballroom dances.
Seeing as it was Halloween, Janette surprised him with a jar full of fudge bearing Aljaz’s face.
The delighted Adam declared: “What a treat! Oh my God! Is that fudge?! Oh wow. My two favourite things.”
Pro dancer Katya though was there to keep him on the straight and narrow, and said told him: “However, not this week, his abs are going. His abs are not there, so no sweets.”
The Olympic athlete laughed off the comment, as it seems he may eat them anyway. It’s Halloween after all!
Katya and Adam have been hard at work for their Vienesse Waltz performance to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata this weekend.
They also seem keen to brush off speculation of their “almost kiss” two weeks ago during the live shows.
Adam’s partner, Eiri Munro, has now spoken out about the moment, thanking fans for their support after going quiet following the backlash.
She admits the speculation had taken its toll on her but she was now focusing on more positive things.
“I have been receiving a lot of hate on the internet - people saying really horrible stuff.
"I am trying to lay it to rest now as I am tired,” she said.
“I want to say thank you to everyone. It makes me a bit emotional. To everyone that has been really nice to me. Because last week was a lot,” Eiri added.
“Even when it’s a thousand nice comments and one mean one, it’s so easy to feel like the world is against you and it did feel like that for a while."
“I then had a reality check and I remembered that I am not that important.
“But you guys made me feel so much better, those that were checking up on me and those that were commenting. Thank you.”

Adam had previously hit back at rumours by saying last week: “To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real-life consequences.
“I will not be overcome by your gossip.”
