Strictly Come Dancing in fresh fix row as Judi Love gets ‘free pass’ to next week after landing in bottom two TWICE
STRICTLY Come Dancing is embroiled in a fresh fix row after Judi Love got "a free pass" to next week after landing in the dance-off two weeks in a row.
The 41-year-old star was saved by the judges both times, with Greg Wise and Katie McGlynn sent home instead.
And now she will automatically land a spot in next weekend's Halloween episode after testing positive for Covid and being forced to miss this week's show.
Despite following government guidelines, Strictly protocol, and fellow contestant Tom Fletcher missing a week due to Covid earlier this month, some fans are up in arms.
They've taken to social media to share their fury that Judi is automatically safe this week - especially as her fate on the BBC series appears to be hanging by a thread already.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer moaned: "Sorry but how could Judi possibly be positive for Covid, sounds like someone’s wants a free week pass.
"I just would have thought the BBC would have been extremely strict on isolating throughout week to week."
Another complained: "Judi should leave the competition for good. It’s not fair on the others that she gets through to Halloween week… Especially when she’s been in the bottom 2 two weeks in a row…"
A third commented on the news: "She knew she'd be gone this weekend, one way of getting out of it…"
Every year, Strictly contestants are allowed to get one bye if required; Katya Jones and Nicola Adams were booted from last year's series as Covid guidelines at the time meant they'd have missed two weeks.
Last weekend, Ugo Monye was absent after a back injury - but hopes to be on the dancefloor again on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Robert Webb was forced to drop out of the competition entirely due to a historic heart problem, having undergone open heart surgery in 2019.

Despite landing in the dance-off twice, Judi has been incredibly popular with viewers - and the Loose Women favourite broke down in tears as she dedicated her emotional dance to her late parents at the weekend.
She previously left viewers in stitches when she TWERKED to Sean Paul - with the rapper even sending in a video message to give the star his seal of approval.
A Strictly spokesperson said earlier today: "Judi Love has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.
"While Judi and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, they will return the following week.”
