It came as Christine from Birmingham, faced Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis during her solo chase on Wednesday evening's show.

As the chaser commented on a difficult question both he and Christine had managed to answer correctly, he said: "Turns out there's two things that spew out random things on this show.

"The computer that does the questions…"

"And Bradley," quipped Christine as she butted in.

She laughed as Bradley reacted to her words, before the presenter decided to take action.

Grabbing her arm, he led Christine off the main set, as she asked: "Are we going to have words?"

"You better watch it, Christine," replied Bradley in a dramatic stage whisper.

He continued: "Coming here and making a fool of me, love.

"I don't need anyone's help."

Still on a roll, Christine added: "He can do it himself."

Which caused Bradley to repeat: "Watch it!"

Amid her bravado Christine managed to bank her money and join fellow contestants Sarah and Waseem in the final chase.

But the trio didn't have the teamwork required to beat Darragh and left empty-handed.

The Chase airs 5pm weekdays on ITV.
