Wendy Williams Show hires Whitney Cummings & Sherri Shepherd as replacement after fans rave over guest host Leah Remini
THE Wendy Williams Show has hired Whitney Cummings and Sherri Shepherd as guest hosts.
The new hosts were revealed as fans raved over Leah Remini’s debut as she filled in for the ailing star.
Comedian Whitney will temporarily take over the hosting duties during the week of Monday, October 25 through Friday, October 29.
WHITNEY TAKES OVER
Speaking of the role, Whitney said in a press release: “In my opinion, nobody is more entertaining or authentic than Wendy Williams.
“As an avid fan, it is surreal to sit in for Wendy, but as someone who has been a guest on the show so many times, I feel confident that my relentless habit of speaking candidly, often to the point of self-sabotage, may go over well with her fans.”
She continued: “There are few places I’d feel as safe to be as unhinged and opinionated as on Wendy’s show and I am looking forward to burning many a bridge.
“Each episode I do will be in celebration of her fearlessness, and the lessons I’ve learned from her fearless feedback and advice.
“I’d like to do whatever I can to make her life easier while she recovers so she can come back stronger and more powerful than ever.”
SHERRI'S 'SO EXCITED'
Dish Nation’s Sherri will then take over as host beginning on Monday, November 1 until Friday, November 5.
"Leah remini is killing it as a guest host," one gushed, while a second agreed: "Ohh they dance like butter on hot pancakes yes #leahremini#WendyWilliams is winning ratings!! Yes!"

Leah was the first person hired to fill in for Wendy as the show's host struggles with ongoing health problems.
