When does the new series of Escape to the Chateau start on Channel 4?

THE return of telly favourite Escape to the Chateau is on the horizon.

Here is everything you need to know about when the Channel 4 show will be back on our screens.

When does the new series of Escape to the Chateau start? 

The Strawbridges will make their return to Channel 4 on Sunday, October 24 at 8pm.

Dick and Angel will also be returning to home soil for the first time since Covid hit.

The couple, who have two children under 10, told their 170,000 Instagram followers: “Next week we will be packing our final bits and heading over to the UK.

“It’s been nearly two years since we visited loved ones and we are going to spend time seeing friends and family.

“Facetime, Zoom.. chatting on the phone has kept us connected, but there is nothing like a hug and sharing that moment together.

“We can’t wait to meet new additions to our family, tell stories and cheers loved ones that are not here and with that in mind we plan to enjoy every moment.”

In the new episodes, viewers will see Dick and Angel bite the bullet and make the huge decision to tackle the roof and outside walls of their Chateau.

Fans will also get a first look at the Strawbridge Suite, which has finished its newly completed make-over.

Elsewhere, they will get to see the couples’ two children Arthur and Dorothy and how they have grown up since the cameras were last at the Chateau.

And viewers of the hit show will be in for a treat for the series finale, airing on December 12, which will be an extra magical festive special.

What is Escape to the Chateau about?

Escape to the Chateau is a Channel 4 reality TV series.

It follows the story of couple Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree, along with their family, as they buy and renovate the 19th-century Château de la Motte-Husson in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France.

Eash season continues their story as they grow their special events business while proceeding to do more renovations.

It also documents the family events and milestones which they go through.

Who’s in the Escape to the Chateau cast? 

The series follows British engineer Dick Strawbridge and his partner Angel.

Tracy Ann Oberman is the narrator – she will be familiar to fans from her extensive work as an actress.

The London-born actress has been in many roles since 1997 in films, TV, and other voice-over work.

She is best known for Friday Night Dinner 2011, Toast of London 2012 and Doctor Who 2005. 

Where is Escape to the Chateau filmed? 

The Château de la Motte-Husson is a Neo-Renaissance style château.

It is located in the small market town of Martigné-sur-Mayenne, in the Mayenne department of France.
