ZOE Ball and Fatboy Slim's son Woody Cook has revealed that his The Circle co-star Tim Wilson is "not doing the best" after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer last month.

The 20-year-old reality star begged his social media followers to send 60-year-old Tim well-wishes.

He shared a photo of Tim wearing pyjamas as he lay in bed, as well as snaps from one of their reunions on Brighton beach.

Woody also posted a video of Tim thanking his little sister Nelly, 11, for making him some cakes.

He wrote alongside the post: "Hello everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to talk about my dear friend Tim @professor_tim_wilson Tim is not doing the best currently and has been in and out of hospital, with a serious condition yet has not let the smile go from his face or sense of humour throughout!

"You can’t stand in the way of this mans courages optimism, intelligence and filthy jokes! Now despite all this, I still believe he needs some loving and I was hoping - You guys could all send him some love from your hearts on socials and just by keeping his good health in your thoughts!

"He is a blessing to my life and to this world and he truly deserves the recognition and fast recovery. I love you Tim! xxx"

Over on his own social media page, Tim revealed that he'd been rushed to hospital after hemorrhaging last month, where he was diagnosed with "quite serious" bowel cancer.

He had surgery on 24 September, but earlier this week posted a video that showed his partner asking followers to "pray for him" as they struggled to access emergency services.

He revealed Tim was suffering a hemorrhage after his operation, with Tim writing in the caption that "in this instance" an ambulance came after six hours.

He added: "Mostly we were told to get in a car and on the last occasion in a sitting position I must confess I was in very serious pain."

Tim and Woody met after both taking part in the 2019 series of The Circle, which was won by Paddy Smyth - but Tim was voted "viewer champion".

They have stayed close friends over the years, and regularly enjoy reunions that they share on their respective social media accounts.

What are the red flag warning signs of bowel cancer?

IT'S the fourth most common cancer in the UK, the second deadliest - yet bowel cancer can be cured, if you catch it early enough.

While screening is one way of ensuring early diagnosis, there are things everyone can do to reduce their risk of the deadly disease.

Being aware of the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, spotting any changes and checking with your GP can prove a life-saver.

If you notice any of the signs, don't be embarrassed and don't ignore them. Doctors are used to seeing lots of patients with bowel problems.

The five red-flag symptoms of bowel cancer include:

  • Bleeding from the back passage, or blood in your poo
  • A change in your normal toilet habits - going more frequently for example
  • Pain or a lump in your tummy
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Losing weight

Tumours in the bowel typically bleed, which can cause a shortage of red blood cells, known as anaemia. It can cause tiredness and sometimes breathlessness.

In some cases bowel cancer can block the bowel, this is known as a bowel obstruction.

Other signs include:

  • Gripping pains in the abdomen
  • Feeling bloated
  • Constipation and being unable to pass wind
  • Being sick
  • Feeling like you need to strain - like doing a number two - but after you've been to the loo

While these are all signs to watch out for, experts warn the most serious is noticing blood in your stools.

But, they warn it can prove tricky for doctors to diagnose the disease, because in most cases these symptoms will be a sign of a less serious disease.
