MARRIED At First Sight Australia viewers were left gobsmacked tonight as the show returned with an almighty bang.
Fans of the Aussie version of the smash hit programme were thrilled to see it back on UK screens with the premiere of series 8.
Within minutes of the first episode airing, mud had already been thrown between the brides, with outspoken Coco criticising Samantha for getting together with her now-ex husband when she was 17 and he was 33.
Minutes later, nervous newlywed-to-be Melissa appeared on screen for the first time and made a huge bombshell confession.
The unlucky-in-love Aussie was shaking in the car on the way to the hen night as she admitted she had NEVER been on a date in her entire life.
Fans couldn't believe it, with one writing on Twitter: "How has Melissa never had a date, i dont believe it #MAFSAustralia."
Are you serious?!"
MAFS Australia's Rebecca
Meanwhile, things reached fever pitch as the episode progressed thanks to new couple Rebecca and Jake.
Within seconds of setting eyes on her groom for the first time, Rebecca was complaining to the cameras about him.
She said: "Are you serious?”
Rebecca continued: “Err…first impressions are not really what I expected. I thought I’d see an amazing smile but I got more of a ‘Ooh, she’s hot’ kind of face, which put me off a little bit.”
Rebecca was also seen complaining about Jake's lack of tie, open buttons and even his teeth.

As a result, she has since been compared to Married At First Sight UK star Morag Crichton.
Season 8 of Married At First Sight Australia was filmed during the coronavirus pandemic and aired Down Under between February and April this year.
Insiders have told The Sun Online that it is the most "scandalous and controversial" series to date.
