Coronation Street fans in stitches as Sally Metcalfe dealt BRUTAL insult by local councillor amid parking war
CORONATION Street fans were left in stitches as Sally Metcalfe was dealt a BRUTAL blow by a local councillor tonight.
The former mayor of Weatherfield has been badgering the local council to implement resident parking permits - but is yet to receive a response.

Tonight Sally declared war on councillor Cameron when she spotted him parking on the cobbles.
As Sally accosted him and asked him why he hadn’t replied to her emails, he tried to rush off and told Sally he had a tram to catch.
“You’re using this street as your own personal park and ride. You are part of the problem,” Sally told him.
“My car is legally parked. I’m not breaking any rules,” he replied.
But Sally was having none of it and told him: “You’re clogging up a residential street and forcing regular people to park elsewhere.”
When he returned later in the episode, Sally popped up from behind a hedge and filmed him getting into his car.

“Your vehicle has been selfishly parked the whole day, preventing local citizens from going about their lawful business,” she shouted.
“Have you got nothing better to do?” he asked.
“This is my sense of civic duty. As the suffragettes before me first in the fight,” she said.

The councillor then dealt Sally a cruel blow as he said: “Listen love, if you’re at a loose end I think the local cat sanctuary is looking for volunteers.”
Sally shouted at him as he drove off: “Oh that’s it run away. But i’m telling you, the next time you use this street as your own personal car park you’ll have me to answer to so think on.”
Corrie fans were left in stitches by the exchange and flocked to Twitter.

Another added: "Love Sally equating parking problems with fighting for suffrage."
