However, viewers of the mega-popular dating show haven't forgotten about the 's cringeworthy mistake when he accidentally granted a rose to the wrong woman.

Following the goof, Jesse earned the number nine spot in a video listing "The Bachelors' 20 Most Amazing Moments."

Reminisced in the clip, the then 26-year-old called up contestant Katie to accept a rose during the rose ceremony.

However, Jesse realized his faux paus immediately after and asked to speak with then-host Chris privately.

During their sidebar, Jesse admitted to Chris that he mixed up the ladies names meaning to gift a rose to Karen, not Katie.

He begged to Chris: "we've got to do that again, somehow we've got to do that again."

Chris agreed and when the two returned, Jesse explained his error to the ladies.

Jesse confessed his mistake and offered Katie the opportunity to stay, which she accepted replying: "I’ll stay and see how things go."

He was then given an extra rose, which he delivered to Karen, who responded: "I thought you'd never ask."

In his search for love, the sports star ended up choosing 22-year-old student, Jessica Bowlin in the show's finale.

It didn't last long, however - as fans predicted when the sports star opted not to propose to Jessica on the show.

Instead, he presented her with a one-way ticket to New York, which she declined.

The couple said they would attempt to make long-distance work but their relationship fizzled out after just a few months.

Jesse is currently engaged to Brazilian-born model who he met in 2017.
