New Strictly It Takes Two host Janette Manrara reveals what she is most nervous about ahead of debut
JANETTE Manrara has revealed what she is most nervous about ahead of her debut on spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two.
The 37-year-old will be replacing host Zoe Ball, who stood down as presenter in May after a decade.
The professional dancer admitted that that she has some "big shoes to fill" and is worried about being able to deliver the same "witty" responses as telly favourite Zoe.
Speaking to TV Mag, Janette said: "Well, Zoe Ball is one of the best presenters.
"She’s so natural, witty, quick on her feet, I took so many
notes just watching her through the years.
"So the only thing I’m nervous about is I just hope I make all the fans of It takes Two proud, because she did such a good job, so for me to be stepping in after Zoe Ball, it is big shoes to fill.
"I want to do a good job of showcasing the dancers and the celebs and
the whole show as well as I possibly can."
CH CHA CHANGES
Janette announced her new role earlier this year on BBC's The One Show.
Sharing her news, she revealed she will be joining Rylan Clark-Neal on the BBC 2 programme on weeknights, while the dancing show is on air.
Discussing her new role, the Cuban-American star, who is married to co-star Aljaž Škorjanec, admitted she was emotional about no longer taking to the iconic dance floor.
She told hosts Alex Jones and Ronan Keating: "I will not be dancing. I don't want to well up because I have been welling up a lot today, but that has been the hardest part of accepting this amazing honour to join It Takes Two.
"It's the realisation that I will not be on that legendary Strictly dancefloor any more. But I feel that this is most beautiful and natural progression.
"I am still a part of the Strictly family, I am still going to be seeing my fellow pros all the time and I will keep dancing, as they say.
"I will find a way to keep dancing."
Janette first joined Strictly in 2013 dancing with Julien MacDonald, she went on to partner with Jake Wood , Peter Andre, Melvin Odoom , Aston Merrygold , Dr Ranj Singh and Will Bayley.
Last year she danced with HRVY and came in second place - her highest ranking.
