Strictly’s Nina Wadia says her body ‘is being held together by tape’ after training

STICTLY star Nina Wadia has revealed that her body is "being held together by tape" after gruelling rehearsals.

The former EastEnders star, 52, said that the training sessions with pro dancer Neil Jones gave her body a "wake-up call".

"I’m currently being held together with tape," Nina told .

“I guess being possibly the most unprepared person in the world, this is a wake-up call to my body.

“My back is all taped up, my hip flexors are sore, I’ve got plasters all over my feet.

"Neil makes me wear the heels for training and when I take them off at the end of the day my feet are so swollen I can’t get them back in my sneakers. I’m a bit of a mess, to be honest.”

The TV star added that physios are always on hand to help strengthen the muscles and provide the right exercises.

It looks like Nadia and her dance partner Neil are getting on life a house on fire.

The actress couldn't resist making the cheeky jibe as she found out who she'll be dancing with this series.

In the pre-recorded video, Nina waited by a river for her partner to show up by boat, and was eagerly trying to spot who it was.

She admitted as she waited: "I do have someone in mind, I hope it's going to be him."

As Neil came into view - complete with sailor's hat - Nina squealed, before looking off-camera, jokingly stamping her feet, and shouting: "I said anyone but him!"

Neil playfully went along with it, turning as he pretended to get back onto the boat before rushing over to give Nina a huge hug.

Viewers at home found Nina's faux tantrum hilarious, and took to social media to share their appreciation.

One wrote: ";Nina Wadia is going to be A GIFT."

Another joked: "Omg an honest celeb!! God bless you Nina!!!! Only took years for the celeb to say they were hoping for someone else!"

A third giggled: "Nina Wadia is HILARIOUS."

One more said: ";Nina & Neil have the same humour so that makes sense actually."

Nina is best known for playing Zainab Masood in EastEnders between 2007 and 2013, and also starred in Goodness Gracious Me.
