AGT’s Simon Cowell shares update on Nightbirde’s cancer battle as he admits singer ‘probably would have won’
SIMON Cowell gave an update on fan favorite Nightbirde ahead of the America's Got Talent finale.
The British TV personality said he spoke to the singer, real name Jane Marczewski, and she said she's doing better.
Simon admitted that he thinks Jane would have made it all the way if she stayed in the competition.
SIMON'S WINNER
"Would she have won tonight? I think she probably would, actually," the AGT judge said. "And I think she knows that deep down."
"Having said that, she knows she made the right decision," he added.
During Tuesday's show, Simon gave the audience an update on Jane.
"We are missing Jane tonight, I spoke to her earlier on," he told host Terry Crews.
"The great news is she's doing better! I know she would have been here at the finals and we're all sending you, Jane, our love. We miss you. Just get better. We love you."
It comes after Simon previously said Jane was too ill to make it to the final.
"However, it was always her dream for her music to be heard by millions. That's what's happened off the back of this.
"We talk about once every two weeks. It was a difficult conversation we had about does she enter the show or not. I know that she was very down.
'GOING TO BE MISSED'
"I called her and I said that, 'Honestly if I was in your position, I wouldn't do it.' Because you don't need the stress right now. It's just not worth it.
In the caption, the contestant admitted she had been "feeling super sick."
“The most important thing is your well-being and your health and your recovery. And on behalf of all of us here, we’re sending you our love, our prayers, and we can’t wait to see you again soon."
