Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford reveals cute nickname for his newborn son after stunning wife Paige secretly gave birth

GOGGLEBOX star Pete Sandiford's wife secretly gave birth two weeks ago - but admits they still haven't chosen a name.

Instead he and Paige Yeomans are calling their baby son "little fella" until they can agree.

Speaking about becoming a father for the first time, 27-year-old Pete told The Sun at last night's National Television Awards: “It’s overwhelming, but amazing.

“He’s two weeks old. He doesn’t have a name yet, we can’t decide. We’re calling him ‘little fella’ for now. He’s amazing. I’m just living off of no sleep.”

Pete also let slip that he and Paige had got married calling it the "best day of my life" before correcting himself and saying it was second after his son's birth.

Gogglebox picked up an NTA gong for Best Factual show at the glitzy awards do last night.

Celebrating backstage, Pete's co-star Julie Malone let slip he'd become a dad.

She said: "I hope he doesn't mind me saying, but congratulations to Pete on becoming a dad."

Pete had kept it quiet that fiancee Paige Yeomans had given birth, but last night confirmed they'd welcomed a baby boy last month.

Pete added: “I’m a proud father. He’s a cool little lad. Takes after his mum. 

“I slept on the train here, I’m so tired.”

His sister Sophie added: “I’m a very proud auntie. 

“I’m obsessed with him. I just keep saying 'can I hold him can I feed him?'” 

The TV favourite casually dropped the news he was set to be a dad earlier this year as he showed his sister a baby scan during one of their episodes. 

He told Sophie: "Here we go, look at this. Innit mad? I am actually going to be a dad to somebody."

Sophie replied: "Crazy. Life’s coming at you fast."

The brother and sister have been on Gogglebox since 2018, and are fan favourites.

Alongside his TV career, Pete has a job in the insurance industry.
