Who’s in the cast of The Cleaner on BBC One?

INBETWEENERS alum Greg Davies is writing and starring in a new six part comedy show for BBC One centering on 'Wicky', a state-certified cleaning technician tasked with the pretty grim job of cleaning up crime scenes.

Davies has enlisted a star-studded cast of British comedians and actors to join him on the show, which is inspired by German comedy Crime Scene Cleaner. Here's a full list of the cast...

Greg Davies as 'Wicky'

Funnyman Greg Davies steps into the lead role as 'Wicky', a crime scene cleaner who finds himself faced with all manner of gruesome scenes and eccentric characters whilst out on the job.

Greg Davies was a teacher for 13 years before embarking on a comedy career.

He got his big break in 2008 playing Mr Gilbert, a not-so-friendly head teacher, in E4 Comedy The Inbetweeners.

The Crown star Helena Bonham Carter revealed that she'll be taking on the role of Sheila, who she described as "one of the eclectic and sometimes murderous mix of characters that 'Wicky' comes across during his gruesome but necessary work."

The Oscar-nominated Actress spent much of her early career in period dramas before becoming a Hollywood mainstay after nabbing roles in Fight Club, Harry Potter, Alice In Wonderland and more.

David Mitchell appears as a frustrated author - but his character's name is as yet unknown.

The comedy legend is perhaps best known for his work alongside fellow funnyman Robert Webb - with the pair first working together all the way back in 1995.

They rose to fame starring in the cult comedy Peep Show which ran for an impressive nine series and won multiple BAFTAs.

Most recently the comedy duo appeared together in the sitcom Back, which ran for two series until January 2021.

When is The Cleaner on BBC One?

The Cleaner starts on BBC One at 9.30pm on 10 September 2021.
