Emmerdale spoilers: Matty Barton in agony after being engulfed in flames in the Woolpack
MATTY Barton is in agony after being engulfed in flames in the Woolpack next week in Emmerdale.
Marlon is struggling financially after buying half of the pub in the middle of a pandemic.
In recent scenes, Marlon admitted the extent of his financial problems to Paddy when his card was declined at April’s birthday party.
Next week, Marlon hatches a plan to make some money fast and ropes in Matty to help with a Woolpack barbecue, paying him in cash.
Matty gears up to use the grill, but disaster strikes when he uses lighter fluid on the barbecue and burns his hands as a blaze erupts.
Later, Marlon beats himself up as Chas tells him they could lose everything if Matty sues them.
The following day, Moira tells Chas that Matty is entitled to compensation for his injuries which will leave him unable to work.
Paddy is concerned for Chas as she worries how they are going to be able to afford the payout, but they’re surprised by an unexpected offer.
What’s happened and will it stop Marlon and Chas facing financial ruin?

Talking about the disastrous turn of events, actor Mark Charnock - who plays Marlon - recently told The Sun and other media: "Marlon has a great idea of making money fast with a shwarma barbecue.
"He overspends on it but is so confident it's going to be a hit. Busload of 40 people turn up thinks it's going to turn things round, him and Chas are absolutely on their knees financially.
"Marlon starts to panic, stuff goes wrong, hires Matty for the day cash in hand to help out. When he leaves Matty to continue with the barbecue, he asks what to put on it, misunderstands what Marlon tells him and he adds accelerant to it and it explodes. Matty gets really badly injured."
