Gemma Collins wants her own gardening show to educate millennials about the delights of being horticultural
GEMMA Collins wants to be the next Charlie Dimmock by landing a gardening show.
The former Towie favourite has been getting her hands dirty this summer and hopes to exhibit her green-fingered skills on screen.
Gemma intends to spread the word at the Chelsea Flower Show later this month by networking with TV execs.
She said: “I desperately want a gardening show. I know you all love me for the reality, but actually youngsters need to know the power of gardening and how much it can bring to your life.
“I’ve been very busy in the garden and I can’t wait to get to the Chelsea Gardening Show.
"Who knows? I could have my own patch there one day with my own fabulous magical garden.”
The GC, who stars in ITVBe reality series Diva Forever, spends a lot of time in her summer house which overlooks a luscious lawn.
Gemma said on her BBC podcast: “I’ve learnt so much this year. I was even thinking of doing a gardening course at my local college.

“But then I was like, ‘Are they going to think I’m not taking this serious’ or a bit strange, like, ‘Gemma Collins is turning up to do a gardening course?’.
“I think if my schedule allows, it is something I want to do.”
For once, it won’t be just cash she’ll be raking in.
A payday for Mrs Morgan
PIERS Morgan’s victory over the TV watchdogs hasn’t just boosted the ex-Good Morning Britain host’s ego.
It seems the highly publicised on-air fallout which was investigated by Ofcom has also bumped up his wife’s book sales.
Celia Walden’s aptly titled Payday has moved up to No6 in the Amazon charts.
It wasn’t in the Top 10 before Wednesday, when Piers was informed the media regulator had cleared ITV of any wrongdoing after he questioned the Duchess of Sussex’s claims about her mental health back in March.
There were a record 58,000 complaints about his criticism of Meghan.
Piers was quick to point out on his Instagram Stories Celia’s move up the book charts, screen-grabbing the Top 6 and exclaiming the book is a “bestseller”.
Suited and booted
LOVE Islander Kem Cetinay is getting all the players in this year’s Soccer Aid suited and booted.
The 2017 winner has designed all the Primark suits that both England and The Rest of the World stars will wearing as they arrive at The Etihad Stadium for this Saturday’s charity match.
Gaby: We need the fun back
GABY Roslin knows all about being naughty on TV having hosted The Big Breakfast with Chris Evans back in the Nineties.
And the veteran presenter believes modern day TV shows could do with an injection of fun, believing they’ve gone too woke and rarely take risks.
Gaby says: “I think there needs to be [more naughtiness].
“Sometimes I do wonder about who they’re making television for.
“I think early evening there should be a six or seven o’clock in the evening thing, that you can put your feet up or you can run home from school, or you can sit from university, you can start getting drunk…
“Whatever it is that you just go ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I just saw that!”
Revealing how she would conduct a celebrity interview, Gaby told Best: “I want to see Michelle Pfeiffer wearing a blow-up Sumo outfit and the two of us doing a Sumo fight with water pistols - thank-you, let’s do it.”
That sounds more like it.
'Conquer anxiety'
EASTENDERS star Shona McGarty displayed her singing ability on the BBC1 soap recently but viewers are unlikely to ever see her dance.
The actress, who plays Whitney Dean, has revealed she turned down Strictly due to anxiety fears.
She told Best: “I’ve always wanted to do it and I was asked a few years ago to go on the show.
“But my anxiety got the better of me and I thought I would be too nervous to do a live show.
“But now might be a good time for me to conquer my anxiety – just go for it and deal with it when I get there.
“I love dancing, I love the costumes and it’s such an iconic show.”
Instead, Rose Ayling-Ellis will be representing Albert Square in the upcoming series, becoming the first deaf celebrity to ever appear.
She plays the daughter of Danny Dyer’s character Mick Carter on the BBC1 soap.
I’d love to see him in sequins.
Kieron's swell at SAS test
FORMER England star Kieron Dyer showed poor ball control on Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins when he landed on his testicles during an abseil.
The scene of horror, which airs on Sunday night’s show on Channel 4, unfolded as he had to slide down a rope in the latest gruelling challenge.
Kieron plunged from an oil rig platform into the icy ocean which felt like concrete when he planted his privates on it.
But he still had to put on a brave face for the show’s course instructors Ant Middleton and Jason Fox who were standing above him.
Kieron said: “I’ve gone all the way over and kind of belly flopped - then that’s when I smashed my testicles on the water.
“And the scary thing is the shock of the water, the pain of your testicles, you’ve still got to remember to get up and put your thumb up, to say you’re all right to the team!

“So I scrambled under the water for a bit and then I come up, put my thumb up and then obviously you have to swim back in and I’m like: ‘Oh my God, what have I done there?’
“When I got back to the shore I realised that my testicles were starting to swell up and bruise. The doctor pumped me full of painkillers, it was so painful!”
