Love Island fans outraged as Jake ‘refuses to fight’ for Liberty and claims split was ‘mutual’
LIBERTY Poole broke down in tears on Love Island tonight as she dumped Jake and slammed their "fake" relationship before storming out of the villa.
The 21-year-old made the decision after seeing how happy Faye and Teddy were after they enjoyed a final romantic date in the ITV2 show.
Jake had earlier mocked Liberty saying she gave him "the ick" - which turned out to be the final straw for the Brummie student.
Realising her relationship was in tatters she ripped off her mic and ran outside crying as Faye chased after her.
The sobbing Islander told Faye: "I can just tell I'm giving him the ick over little things like being messy and things like this.
"Just like today with him putting himself down, I was like 'Babe you look good you look fit', and he looked at me funny saying 'oh it's all about you' isn't it or something like that.
"I don't want to change myself for anyone, I'm not saying Jake isn't genuine guy but I don't want to stay with someone who doesn't love me."
Jake eventually made his way over to the girls and Liberty poured her heart out to him.
I feel like I can't do anything right...

She said: "I feel like I can't do anything, I am messy, I do wear big heels, I do wear big eyelashes, I do wear red lipstick, and I don't feel like I can do that in here.
"I just want to be with someone who loves me for me, the big heels, eyelashes, everything ..."

Jake was left struggling for words, but insisted: "I've never said I wanted you to change."
The pair - who coupled up in the first episode six weeks ago - failed to see eye to eye and took a break from the tense chat, though later when Jake tried to approach Liberty she refused to kiss him.
She pulled him for another talk and pushed to end things, explaining her reasons.
Giving him back the bracelet he gave her earlier in the series, she said: "I just don't feel like you do love me or you are into me, and if you did, messiness and things like that wouldn't be a thing."
Jake replied: "I feel like I can't battle my corner, you don't feel happy with anything I say anyway.
"You see things differently to how I see things."
Liberty replied: "But then it shows we're not right for each other."
And he said: "If it does it does, that's the way things is. I can't change for anyone, you can't. I can't think about splitting up with you. I came in here to find someone and I've found someone ..
"It breaks my heart to say this but maybe it is best we go our separate ways then. I'm sorry that you've felt like that, it's something I need to work on in the future, and I hope you find someone who accepts you."
Viewers rallied behind Liberty, after Jake later told the boys that their split was "mutual".
One said: "How was that a mutual decision, she dumped him lmao😂😂"

Another wrote: "That break up was about as mutual as the feelings in that relationship"
And one more tweeted: "Looks like jake was in it for the win. Thought he could do a ‘Jack & Danny’ with the bracelet. Liberty dumped him & he just agreed because he knew the game was over & they couldn’t win. Then he told the boys it was a mutual agreement. Rubbish! He was fake AF"
