Is Teddy Soares from Love Island a Prince?

A LOVE Island star has shocked viewers - and his fellow islanders - by hinting he could be royalty.

Fan-favourite Teddy Soares revealed an aristocratic family history on the show.

Who is Teddy Soares from Love Island?

Teddy is a 26-year-old financial consultant from Manchester.

He was dropped in as a bombshell on the July 9 episode - and was an immediate hit with the girls.

Although three other women expressed interest in him - Kaz Kamwi, Sharon Gaffka and Rachel Finni - Teddy chose to couple up with 25-year-old lettings agent Faye Winter.

Is Teddy Soares a Prince?

On the July 31 Unseen Bits episode, the boys were discussing their heritage.

After Toby Aromolaran shared his Nigerian heritage, Teddy revealed some of his family came from the country, too.

He then confessed, "I'm going to say something so shocking... I'm actually a Prince of one of them."

His fellow islanders looked gobsmacked, with Lucinda Strafford asking "you're a Prince of what, sorry? You're a prince of who?"

Teddy answered: "It's part of a village, it's within the Delta state village, so (through) my grandad, who has actually passed away so I'm no longer a Prince, I was a Prince."

The revelation left the rest of the villa shocked, with Teddy's partner Faye joking that she'd need to stop burping and swearing now she knew she was coupled up with royalty.

Teddy picked Faye just a few days after he entered the villa, but their pairing has often been rocky.

During Casa Amor, the pair were rocked by a postcard which controversially appeared to show Teddy kissing another girl, although fans branded it misleading.

An upset Faye then decided to re-couple with new boy Sam Jackson, leaving Teddy temporarily single.

The duo quickly reconciled, however, and seemed to be back on track.

But they weren't out of the woods just yet, with Faye ending things on the August 8 episode, after a "movie night" challenge revealed Teddy had been attracted to dumped islander Clarisse Juliette.

Teddy was visibly upset, and told Faye that he was finding it difficult to accept that they were over.

He said: "I can't swallow the pill, it just doesn't make sense to me."

But Faye was adamant, saying: "I want to continue this journey on my own."

She then got up and walked away from her former beau, who was left sitting alone on the villa balcony.

"On my own it is," Soares was shown whispering to himself.

Although Teddy might be upset by the relationship ending, it doesn't look like his loved ones feel the same way.

Instead, they've called for Faye to be removed from the villa after an explosive row on the August 6 episode saw the 25-year-old aggressively berate her partner.
