Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen reveals why husband Clive doesn’t appear in ANY of her social media pictures
OUR Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has revealed the reason why her husband Clive never appears on her social media posts.
Mother-of-nine Amanda, 46, frequently shares insights into the behind-the-scenes of her family's life on her Instagram and Twitter pages.
While the nine children are often apparent in the snaps, as well as their range of animals and stunning farm, Clive tends to be missing.
The farmer also doesn't have his own accounts online - leaving fans wondering why he prefers to stay out of the limelight.
Amanda has now revealed that the reason is because Clive "hates" social media and therefore asked not to appear in any of her photographs.
She told Twitter about his reasoning after sharing snaps of herself getting a hair cut at a local salon, as followers questioned where Clive was.
"How come we never see photos of Clive, time for him to have a make over as well, he bloody earns it," one follower pointed out.
Amanda then explained: "He hates social media and the online news stuff and doesn’t want to be on it. That’s his choice."
Clive and Amanda have been married for 21 years after meeting in 1996 - and now share nine children together at Ravenseat Farm.
But it wasn't love at first site, with the couple having 21 years between them, as Amanda was just 21 when she met her future husband.
She told the Poet Laureate Has Gone To His Shed podcast that their relationship was a "slow burn" as they started off as friends.
She said: "It was a friendship we built, I was there to pick up a tup because I was away milking cows over in Cumbria and I had come to borrow one.
“So I went to Ravenseat borrowed a tup and then headed off again. We just exchanged phone numbers and that was the beginning of the friendship.
“The friendship went on for four years. So it was a slow burn thing."
After four years together, the couple tied the knot in 2000 and went on to have their nine kids, 1,000 sheep, 40 cows, six dogs and four horses.
Amanda recently revealed how her ninth pregnancy, with now four-year-old daughter Nancy, caught her totally by surprise.
