A COUPLE who were paired on Married At First Sight have broken the show’s curse by welcoming a baby girl.

Ally Acklan, 36, and Paul Todd, 33, were due to appear last year on the Channel 4 show where couples first meet on their wedding day.

But their episode was scrapped three days before as lockdown hit.

Train driver Paul begged producers for the details of his match and when he contacted medical insurance manager Ally, the pair hit it off.

Months later, Ally joined Paul in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, and he proposed.

Daughter Penelope arrived on July 3.

Ally said: “Paul and I were made for each other.

"There’s no doubt the team got it spot on.”

Previously, only one UK couple had lasted since the first series in 2015.
