Stranger Things confirms season four return date as Netflix show teases new footage
NETFLIX has announced the release date for the highly anticipated season four of Stranger Things with a first look video.
Netflix's official Twitter account tweeted that the next season of the hit supernatural show will air in 2022.
"It's visually and narratively very ambitious, much more ambitious than the prior three seasons.
"The delay is due in large measure to Covid and the pace at which we have to work to do so safely.
"But, it also happens to be the season that we chose to go much bigger. It's the scale of this season and the multi-settings of season four."
There is also a rumored return of Dr. Martin Brenner, played by Matthew Modine.
The season three finale ended with the beloved Jim Hopper (David Harbour) seemingly dead, the Byers family leaving town and the Russians’ facility destroyed.
Following the explosion aimed at destroying the Soviet lab to the Upside Down deep under the new Starcourt Mall, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) was seen taking her sons (Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp) and Eleven (Brown) out of the Indiana town to start a new life.
What will season four have in store?
Stranger Things seasons one to three are available to watch on Netflix.
