Edwin had rocked up all smart in a shirt, tie and waistcoat

Edwin secured a respectable £7,000 in his cash builder before heading to the table to take on the Chaser.

Host Bradley was quick to comment on his attire, which consisted of a shirt, tie and waistcoat.

Edwin said he had dressed up in case he faced the "lovely" Anne, who is always suited and booted on the show.

But his flirty banter didn't do it for Anne, who immediately took issue with his outfit once she was in her seat.

She revealed he "needed to have his top button up to flirt" with her, prompting Bradley to stop proceedings in order to help Edwin fix the top button of his shirt and please Anne.

As the Chaser waited patiently, Bradley also fixed Edwin's tie, before showing Anne the results.

Sadly, Edwin's efforts were in vein as Anne caught him, sending him home before the Final Chase.

Before he left, Bradley joked about Edwin's connection with Anne for a final time.

He said: "You pandered to Anne’s advances. Instead of being you - she trapped you like a fly in a venus fly trap."

Anne was on top form during the repeated episode, taking out the remaining two contestants leaving the first player to go solo in the Final Chase.

Despite scoring a respectable 14 by themselves, it wasn't enough to beat Anne who caught the player and sent them home with nothing.
