Sharing a video of her incredible dive, the maître d’ wrote: “Well done for making the semi final mon 🦆 So proud of you ❤️”

The star’s followers heaped praise onto Andrea, with one person saying: “Fantastic your daughter is an olympian not many people can say that look forward to seeing her in Paris in 3 years time”

Another added: “Huge well done to Andrea I’ve been trying to get any results on social media Fred 🥰🥰🥰 @fredsirieix”

A third remarked: “Fingers crossed for your daughter that she goes all the way. Good luck!@fredsirieix1”

Andrea will compete in the semi-finals at 2am on Thursday, August 5.

FIRST OLYMPICS

Andrea was crowned BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2020 and is part of Team GB’s 12-person diving squad desperate for Olympic glory.

Sadly for Fred, overseas spectators aren’t allowed inside the stadiums and arenas because of the coronavirus pandemic, so he won’t be able to cheer his daughter on in the flesh.

But even without her biggest supporter there, Andrea – who is fluent in three languages (English, French, and Italian) – is hoping to bring a medal home.
