The Chase star Mark Labbett says host Bradley Walsh ‘calls me fat’ despite dramatic slimdown – but says he deserves it
THE Chase's Mark 'The Beast' Labbett may have lost a whopping 10 stone, but that hasn't stopped host Bradley Walsh taking a swipe at his weight.
The shrinking star, 55, opened up how Bradley has a "pop at" the popular Chaser's frame, despite his massive weight loss.
"[Bradley] has a pop at my weight but I haven't got the heaviest BMI [Body Mass Index] on the show," he told the
"If he had a pop at other people on the show for their weight you know people would say, 'You can't say that.'
"He calls me fat and makes jokes about me, but I am."
Mark revealed the reason their banter works so well is because he knows Bradley's the boss.
"I know he's in charge. In my opinion, he is the best gameshow host in the world right now," Mark said.
"He's an absolute expert and he's generally funny."
Mark added: "Sometimes I worry I've been a bit too mean to him but he just loves it when you come back with banter.
"He knows that I'm the ultimate straight guy in that he can have a pop at me over just about anything and nobody is going to get offended on my behalf.
"And I'm just going to say, bring it on."
Mark credited his impressive body overhaul after cutting down on sugar and carbs.
Just last month Mark revealed he’d dropped from a size 5XL to XL in underpants – after losing 10 stone and spoke about it on ITV's Loose Women.
Speaking to panellists Kaye Adams, Stacey Solomon and Linda Robson, the ITV quizzer, who towers at 6ft 6in tall, revealed he was a whopping 29 stone when he worked as a teacher 18 years ago.
The 55-year-old Oxford graduate explained: "I am gradually dropping Xs off my size. I've gone from 5XL to 4XL and it looks like the next time I go shopping I'll be able to squeeze into XL underpants.
"I've lost 10 stone, I was 29 stone when I was a full time teacher in 2003 and I was in danger of high blood pressure.

"I've been around 26 stone up until lockdown, and then a few things happened quite nicely and came together and I started losing weight."
Asked how he's achieved such a feat, the dad of one added: "The principle thing is running around after a hyperactive toddler when nurseries have been shut. How do you keep up with them?
"I found at the end of the evening instead of going to the fridge for late night snacking, all I could do was collapse on the bed."
