Lindsie announced on Tuesday that after about nine years of marriage together, doing so alongside a photo of herself with their son Jackson.

Thinking about their son is what made Lindsie extra emotional about the situation while opening up about it on the podcast.

Despite splitting from the father of her child, she said she wants to make sure that Jackson knows he was “made in love” because it “is so true.”

She added while discussing it with Kailyn: “I say that out of anything, no matter what happens in life, that my son was made in love, and it was genuine and it was pure.

“And I will never regret it. Ever.”

Lindsie said she has to remind herself that “he was brought into [her] life very young” and that her “life’s not over” just because she’s divorcing his dad, that she still has a lot of life left ahead of her.

“It’s just a chapter of your life,” Lindsie said she tells herself.

What gets her down and makes her start to spiral a bit, though, is when she starts to think about if she held Will back from anything he wanted to do in life, had he not been linked to her.

“I just sometimes think when I get in this type of mode, ‘What would my life have been like if Will and I would’ve not gotten engaged and not gotten married, what would he have been doing?…What would his life have been like?’”

The star continued: “And a part of me feels a sense of guilt because even though I know it’s not all me, I just feel responsible in some way of like, ‘Wow, this is done and what if he would’ve wanted all those other things in his life?’

“I just wonder, if it wouldn’t have been for me, where would he be today?”

Lindsie and Will got hitched in 2012, and she filed for divorce on Monday after nine years together, then sharing the news with fans on Tuesday.

She wrote: “While one door closes, another opens. It's with the deepest sadness that, after 9 years of marriage, Will & I have mutually decided to end our marriage.

"We maintain the greatest respect & love for one another, & we're so grateful for our time together. We will continue to remain friends & be devoted parents to our son whom we both love very much.”

Todd's daughter concluded: “Personally, I am focusing on the new beginnings ahead & a fresh space with the move this week.

"Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy as we work through this challenging time for our family. ❤️”
