STRICTLY Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli swapped their sequins for screams as they tackled a series of 'roller coaster' roads.

The pals have paired up for their ITV road trip series and this week fans saw them tackle what was once the steepest street in the world.

The judges were in North Wales in the coastal town of Harlech, with Craig at the wheel of an iconic Mini emblazoned with the Union Jack.

Craig, 56, led his co-star Bruno, 65, to a stretch of road in the shadow of a gothic 13th century castle, as the Italian and Australian duo attempted to pronounced the street name in Welsh.

Renowned for its 1 in 4 downhill drop, Craig grips the wheel as he starts to drive down the road.

As they chaotically power down and around the snaking path, the pair sing: "Steeper and steeper and steeper I go."

In between their giggling and shrieking, Bruno adds: "Steady, steady… Fasten your seat belts!

"This is like a roller coaster. Control! Control! It's like a ski slope!"

After managing to keep control of the car, Craig exclaims: "That woke me up. I'm going to calm down now because I was a bit like a Raleigh driver."

The episode showed the pair sitting side by side as they drive through Snowdonia National Park.

The aim of the series is to show fans their unique view of the country from the Scottish Highlands to the Cornish coast.

The choreographers are surprising petrol heads and immerse themselves in a different part of British culture for each episode.

Craig and Bruno's Great British Road Trips airs on Wednesday at 8pm on ITV.
