THE Real Housewives of New York City cast is “panicking” as producers determine who’s re-hired and who’s FIRED.
The casting drama for next season comes as ratings plummet on season 13.
As the ratings for continue to decline, a source exclusively told The Sun that the stars as concerned over whether or not they will be asked back for season 14.
The series currently stars , , , and Eboni K. Williams.
The insider revealed: “Things are in a complete state of panic amongst the cast of .
“Ramona is NOT the only one on the chopping block.
“There could be a complete revamp of the show and three or more people may be fired.”
The source added: “Eboni, Ramona and Leah are ALL in danger.”
One star that seems to be in jeopardy is Ramona, as the insider said: “People have been very vocal about their dislike for Ramona this season. It doesn’t make sense to have her on the show anymore. She has become completely unlikable.”
They continued: “As for Leah and Eboni, they have been criticized by viewers on social media. And Eboni blaming producers for low ratings last week doesn't help her case.”
EBONI BLAMED PRODUCERS FOR BAD RATINGS
Earlier this month, the show's newest star that the producers are to blame for what makes it on the air.
While some of the stars are on the chopping block, others appear to be safe.
The insider said: "Luann and Sonja seem to be the only two in the cast that are safe.
"The audience likes them and they test well."
However, the source said the casting situation is a "nightmare."
FILMING HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK
RHONY's season 13 reunion was originally planned to be filmed on August 5, though was pushed back to at least September.
Additionally, season 14 won't begin production until 2022.
The source claimed that "pushing the start of filming for next season back to next year has everyone in panic," adding: "The cast want to know if they’re getting a check or not."
It may be a while until the cast learn their fate on the show, as "producers wait until the very last minute to make offers to the cast they want."
The source said: "The panic among the current cast will go for months as they scramble to find new cast members.
"It’s a straight up mess."
The Sun has reached out to a RHONY rep for comment.
CASTING SHAKEUP
Back in June, The Sun exclusively reported that for the next season.
After stating that Carolina, 43, is on the show’s “list wish,” the informant revealed: “They are starting the casting process earlier than ever, so it’s clear they want to shake things up.”
Carolina spoke about potentially joining the show while appearing on the podcast.
She said she "can't comment" on the rumors, but admitted to being "a huge fan of the franchise."
Carolina said "the women that are on the current cast are incredible" and added that "Eboni was such a great addition."
She continued: "Eboni is actually very good friends with one of my really good friends Charlemagne who works in radio.
"So there's all of these like connections there."
The radio personality also opened up about which current cast members she can see herself becoming close with, while she said she thinks she would get along with Eboni and Leah.
She added: "Luann is a good time.
"I actually hung out with her at industry events in different situations.
"I've heard nothing but wonderful things about Sonja."
When it comes to casting women like Ramona, Carolina added: "I just think that there's a lot of room for growth there."
