Emmerdale fans in tears as Cain Dingle finally forgives mum Faith as she faces cancer battle
EMMERDALE fans are in tears after Cain Dingle finally forgave his mum Faith - and came to support her in her upcoming cancer battle.
The mechanic - who is played by actor Jeff Hordley in the ITV soap - has been estranged from his family of late.
Tonight, furious Brenda confronted Cain and tore into him for behaving so cruelly to his mother.
As he tried to order a drink in the cafe, she told him: “You should be ashamed. Turning your back on your own mother in her darkest hour. I am no-one’s puppet.
“Everything’s always about you, isn’t it? Did she love having a mastectomy or was that done for effect as well?
“This isn’t some points scoring game you stupid, stupid boy - this is real. Your mother is plagued with pain, she’s terrified, she doesn’t know where this is going to end.
“I’ve seen her with my own eyes and maybe you could’ve too - if you were any sort of a son.”
While Cain stormed out, it soon became clear that Brenda’s words had worked when she visited to apologise to Faith for raging at Cain.
Faith panicked she would never see Cain again - but as she was moving back into the pub with Chas, he appeared.
“This want chucking or moving?” he said picking up one of her bags.
Faith was overcome with emotion, as were viewers at home.
One wrote alongside a GIF of someone crying: "Me when Cain turned up to help Faith."
A second said, quoting what Cain said to his mum: "Let's see what the results say first, I'm not promising anything."
Another added next to a crying emoji: "Cain making peace with Faith!!"
