He delved into his break further on his Instagram stories, writing: “I took time off social media to avoid negativity to concentrate on the goal
“Thanks for the messages, my mental health is brilliant and I’m on cloud 9 with my new born and lovely partner.”
He added: “You can’t make life changing moves waking up in the morning going onto social media to see what other people are doing… I’m giving myself a 30 minute per day limit on social media.”
Towie changes
His return comes as The Sun revealed that The Only Way Is Essex bosses have axed at least ten of their cast members as the show undergoes its biggest shake-up ever.
Producers for the ITVBe programme told some of their biggest stars that they would not be returning as regulars in the next series.
Insiders say they made the mass cull because they want it to “go back to basics” and focus on a smaller core cast of characters.
The most recent series of the show, running since 2010, featured as many as 47 characters in varying roles.
Moving on
Tommy and Georgia bid farewell to the reality show at the end of the last series as they prepared to welcome their son.
The pair have filmed Towie spin-off episodes with ITVBe and Lime Pictures producers about the couple becoming mum and dad.
Speaking about the episodes Georgia said: "You’re going to see us moving house, and the first episode will be all about before the baby comes, and the second episode will be once the baby is here. So it’s just two hour specials."
