LOVE Island star Danny Bibby's dad has quit social media after being inundated with nasty messages about his son.
Ricky Bibby has been supporting his son on Instagram in the days since he arrived in the villa.
But a series of controversies have proved too much to take, and he has taken a step back.
He wrote: "The fuse has blown. Too much hassle this. Was gonna be a bit of fun but... bye."
The account, which is now private, features a picture of Danny as a child and a bio reading: "Danny's dad. If you know where he is, then I will give loads of embarrassing things about him on here. The boy is a bellend but I love him to bits."
Ricky rushed to his son's defence when he became embroiled in a racism row just hours before his first full episode.
The 25-year-old plumber had in a historic social media post, which resurfaced as fans of the show scoured his account.
Ricky defended his son, insisting he "doesn't have a racist bone in his body".
He said: "Danny does not have a racist bone in his body and there were no racist intentions to this post.

"Although it was not done maliciously, it was a mistake. I absolutely apologise on his behalf for the offence this wording may have caused. That would never have been his intention."
Since then some fans have claimed Danny's behaviour towards Lucinda has raised 'red flags'.
They were concerned by his mimicking of her voice as well as the stern manner in which he confronted her about "mugging him off".
