LOVE Island’s Lucinda Strafford got back with her footballer ex before entering the villa — and he is dog-sitting while she flirts with the show’s fellas.

Premier League star Aaron Connolly, 21, considers Lucinda to be his girlfriend.

He is walking her pet bulldog and even took Lucinda to the airport for her flight to Majorca for the ITV2 show. But fans will be furious as contestants should be single.

An insider said: “Lucinda and Aaron reconciled before she went on Love Island.

“It was meant to be a big secret because there are strict rules about it.

“No one wants to watch a dating show where the stars are really pining for lovers back home.

“Aaron was only too happy looking after Lucinda’s dog. It makes him feel like they are still the couple they are.”

Brighton and Hove Albion forward Aaron had split from Lucinda earlier this year after he cheated on her.

But after they reunited, he was said to be furious when he learned she was going on the show.

And that anger is only likely to grow as Lucinda is now flirting with another Aaron in the villa.

She was seen stroking Aaron Francis’s leg and telling him he was cute.

That came hours after her partner Brad McClelland was sent home, having sacrificed his own place in the villa so she could stay.
