Inside Jinger Duggar & Jeremy Vuolo’s LA lifestyle with ‘accepting’ beliefs & ‘relaxed’ parenting after show canceled
JINGER Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, swapped life in Arkansas for LA two years ago and their lives couldn't be more different as they distance themselves from her uber religious family.
The are paving their own path after their show was axed following Jinger's brother being arrested on child pornography charges.
The couple, who have children Felicity, two, and seven months, plan to "raise their kids differently" to how Jinger grew up with dad and mom , sources exclusively told The Sun.
While still dedicated to their Christian faith, Jinger and Jeremy are "more accepting" of different lifestyles in LA and have become friends with a lot of new people.
The insider said: "Their opinion on gay marriage remains the same, but they are more open to the way other people choose to live their lives in LA.
"They are bringing their children up differently to how Jinger was brought up, their parenting style is much more relaxed, and it's likely their daughters will be even more open-minded.
"Although they like being in the limelight for work, they don't want the focus to be on their children, and they choose to keep their faces hidden on social media."
A second source said the pair have hired a nanny, but they spend the majority of their time with their kids, while Jeremy also works as a pastor at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, close to their home.
ON THEIR OWN PATH
The couple, who , are also focusing on their podcast, and have "many projects in the pipeline," as they continue to build their lifestyle brand.
The source revealed: "They are much more LA than they were when they first moved out here. They drink high-end coffee and have just joined a gym together, they love it.
"Jinger and Jeremy live in a fairly modest family home, but they are doing well when it comes to money and just bought a new Lexus car.
"They also dine at very starry places like Craig's and Catch, they don't drink but they often brush shoulders with celebrities, it's a very different life to Arkansas where Jinger grew up.
"They go to watch the Dodgers play sometimes, and love little trips to the beach and to ice-cream parlors, they feel it's a great city to bring their kids up in."
LOVING LA
A rep for the pair exclusively told The Sun it's been "amazing" to see them embrace Los Angeles and explore different parts of the city.
They said: "Most people that move here get intimidated by how big this city is, but they’ve really done a great job at taking in the best parts.
"They're big fans of shopping on Fairfax and have become quite the sneaker fans with an affinity for Nike Air Jordan 1s."
The Duggars try to , and the women must not show legs or dress in a revealing manner - but Jinger no longer sticks to the rule book.
A source said: "They are a lot edgier, Jinger and they wear a lot of black, they're certainly experimenting when it comes to their fashion choices."
recently opened up about over her decision to go against their wardrobe rules, including wearing pants.
In her new book, The Hope We Hold: Finding Peace in the Promises of God, with , she reflected on why she started defying her .
Jinger wrote: "My mom had always dressed us girls in skirts and dresses, a standard that was taken from Deuteronomy 22:5, which says, 'A woman shall not wear a man's garment,' (ESV) and I never really questioned it."
She continued: "Modesty was a huge topic in our house, and we believed that wearing skirts instead of pants was a central part of being modest. But I wanted to discover for myself what the Bible had to say."
NO MORE COUNTING
Following the , which The Sun revealed earlier this month, Jinger, 27, and Jeremy, 33, said in a that they "wholeheartedly agree" with the TLC's decision.
They said: "We wholeheartedly agree with TLC's decision not to renew ‘Counting On’ and are excited for the next chapter in our lives.
"We’d like to thank our fans, friends and the amazing film crew who have shown us love and support.
"We are grateful for TLC giving us the opportunity to be on their network over the years and their kindness towards the Vuolo family.
"It's been a remarkable journey that has opened doors to traveling and experiencing the world in a way that we wouldn't have imagined possible."
JOSH'S IMPACT
A source previously told The Sun the couple didn't want Josh's arrest to damage their brand.
The insider explained: "It's been a very tough time for them as a family, what with welcoming a new baby during a pandemic and now Josh's arrest.
"They have been very outspoken about him being charged, they want nothing to do with him, and don't want his issues to get in the way of their life in California. They feel enough is enough.
"They stopped recording their podcast some months ago as they were very overwhelmed juggling family life with their lifestyle brand and book release.
"They are working on new episodes now and are happy about its evolution."
The TV stars launched their Christian show last June and grew their following to have hundreds of thousands of fans downloading more than 30 episodes.
They also had more than 40k people following along on the podcast’s Instagram, but during the show's break - deleting all photos and videos.
The pair are now back on social and plan to drop new episodes of their podcast in coming weeks, a source said.
Jinger and Jeremy may sign on for new TV work now that Counting On is over, but they are , The Sun previously revealed.
