Power Raising Kanan season 2 – release date, time, cast and how to watch
THE SECOND season of Power spin-off Raising Kanan is hitting our screens this August.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is set in Queens, New York City in 1991 and follows the early years of Kanan Stark, played by Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson in the main Power series.
When is Power Book III: Raising Kanan released and how can I watch it?
The second series will drop on Sunday, August 14.
Episodes will premiere in both the US and the UK on the same date with new installments every Sunday.
STARZ will drop episodes every Sunday at 9pm ET, but for those who can't wait you can watch it on the STARZ app at midnight.
Fans can watch the show on Starzplay via Amazon Prime Video but you’ll have to pay extra.
An Amazon Prime subscription costs £7.99 a month in the UK but new subscribers get a 30-day free trial.
Amazon Prime costs subscribers in the US $12.99 a month.
Fans will also require Starzplay costing an additional £4.99 a month in the UK with new subscribers getting a 7-day free trial.
In the US the fee is $8.99 a month which also comes with a free trial.
Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said: "In television history, only a select few shows have inspired four consecutive series extensions, launched into active production and development at the same time.
"These new and exciting chapters will continue the journey of some of Power's most controversial characters while featuring a growing ensemble of complex, distinct characters along with the high-octane drama that set Power in a class of its own."

- Omar Epps - is back as Detective Howard
- Joey Bada$$ - is also back as Raq's rival, Unique
New faces include Krystal Joy as Marvin's anger management therapist Renée Timmons, NOS4A2 star Paulina Singer as a singer wanting to work with Lou-Lou's record label and Queen Sugar actor Omar Dorsey as businessman Cartier 'Duns' Fareed.
Other new characters joining the cast are Famous' (Antonio Ortiz) new neighbour Palomar (Sistars KJ Smith) and Jukebox's mum Kenya (LeToya Luckett).
What happens in season two?
The second season picks up from the shocking scene of Kanan shooting Detective Howard and leaving him for dead, unaware the police officer is his dad.
Fans will be pleased to hear he survived the shooting, so will the detective reveal all to his estranged son Kanan? How will Raq react?
Raq is also back on top as Southside's drug queenpin and Unique is fighting for his life from behind bars.
Fans will have to wait to see what happens over the next 10 episodes.
