EASTENDERS fans have demanded Harry Redknapp is offered a permanent contract by soap bosses after appearing in Albert Square.
The former football manager made his debut on the BBC One soap last night as he popped into Walford's iconic Queen Vic for a drink.
Arriving in typical style, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here winner Harry, 74, looked suave in a brown suit as he eased himself out his car.
He had flocked to Walford as Sonia had promised if Rocky's friend Harry turned up, all the drinks would be on her at the infamous local pub.
"Everybody's laughing at you! Out of all the people you could pretend to know - why Harry Redknapp?" Sonia asked Rocky.
But she was left in a stunned silence when she clocked the legend himself walking up behind him, pulling Rocky in for an embrace.
Later in the episode, Harry popped into the Queen Vic for a cheeky pint, leaving barman Mick tripping over his words trying to talk to him.
"That's on the house!" Mick told Harry, gesturing towards his drink, before desperately trying to encourage him to return to the pub.
"Harry, there's always a pint in here, on us, for you," Mick went on as he got the sporting legend to sign the back of his beloved football shirt.
"Come back!" he ordered as Harry left. "I mean, you're welcome here. Whenever you want! Bring Sandra! Mind how you go!"
Heading out of the square, Harry told Rocky he was going to meet wife Sandra, 74, at the Savoy and heeded him a warning about Sonia.
Fans were so impressed with the star's soap appearance and his acting skills - they took to social media to demand he is made a permanent fixture.
"Wow what a cameo from the legend that is Harry Redknapp!" one man kick started the praise on Twitter. "Fantastic addition to the show.
"He settled in so well and looked comfortable and his meeting with Mick in the pub was lovely. I hope he has a more permanent role in the future."
Another agreed: "Er....why has Harry Redknapp never been in EastEnders before? Superb acting from the legend!"
"Absolutely loved Harry in eastEnders tonight he fitted in perfectly, Total natural at acting," added a third of his performance.
While a fourth joked he could expect a TV award: "He was way better than the rest of the cast was tonight... BAFTA incoming."
Harry is not thought to be returning to the soap for any further cameo appearances, despite fans wishes on social media.
The football manager joked earlier this week that his beloved wife Sandra "won't watch" his EastEnders cameo - despite being a huge soap fan.
Despite Sandra being a fan of the Albert Square show, Harry teased that she won't be tuning in to catch his cameo appearance.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Harry said ahead of his appearance: "I am a real East Ender and very proud of that.
"So to actually get a little cameo part in the show was good fun for me. I really enjoyed it.
