THROWBACK SNAP

Jake Cornish looks totally different before his tattoos and Love Island fame

TEENAGE snaps of Love Island hunk Jake Cornish have shown how the reality TV star has been totally transformed by tattoos.

While the 24-year-old has been impressing ITV viewers of late with his inked muscular body - the body art appears to be a very recent addition.

Jake, who is currently coupled up with blonde bombshell Liberty Poole, 21, on Love Island, looks unrecognisable in the snaps from his school days.

The water engineer from Western-super-Mare can be seen tattoo free and far less muscular in the pictures, taken when he was in Year 11, aged 16.

Posing after attending The Blue School in Wells, Somerset, Jake can be seen looking trim with his hair slicked back as he headed out with friends.

Wearing a tight grey shirt, the star showed off his smaller biceps, which also were completely free of any of his impressive ink.

Another snap sees him don an all-blue football kit to pose for a snap with his team - demonstrating his good looks even in his teens.

Speaking to the , a former school pal told how Jake earned the title of being the next  thanks to his handsome features.

They said: "'He was, even at that age, obsessed with his appearance and imitated Joey’s style even back then. He was a real pretty boy.

"It’s no surprise he ended up on Love Island because he fits right in."

The school friend added that at the time, Jake insisted on going by the nickname "Young Corn", something he was "deadly serious" about.

Despite teasing him, they admitted he "treated everyone with respect and is showing on Love Island he’s a nice guy too".

Jake found himself in hot water on Love Island earlier this week when he was branded "fake Jake" by fans for talking about Liberty behind her back.

He confessed to Hugo Hammond: "My head could definitely be turned. To be honest Libs is not giving me any reason not to trust her.

"It is progressing in the right way, I don't know if that's because my eyes aren't elsewhere. I'd be lying if I didn't say if another blonde came in and she had blonde hair, blue eyes, up for a laugh, why would I not get to know her because I'm with Lib?"

Taking their feelings to Twitter, one viewer raged: "Jake is playing a game, SOMEONE TELL LIBERTY ALREADY."

Another fan remarked: "We all know jake is going to ditch liberty in casa amor or he will only stay with her for the money. He has game player written all over his face."

However, despite the shake up of two new girls in the villa, on Thursday, Jake insisted that it had only made him realise he was happy in his current coupling.

Jake had fans in hysterics earlier this week when he suffered a major wardrobe blunder as he headed into the Hideaway with Liberty Poole.

Each of the couple excitedly got ready for their big night, with all the girls having a hand at helping Liberty get sexy, while the lads watched Jake stuff a sock in his shorts.
