Coach Trip will return to C4 with tour guide legend Brendan Sheerin after almost two years off screen
COACH Trip is returning to E4 with tour guide Brendan Sheerin.
The show is being filmed in September and will air next year – almost two years since the last series.
Brendan, 62, will be joined on the trip by a coachload of new celebrities ready to take on Europe.
A source said: “Celebrity Coach Trip is a hugely popular programme and Channel 4 were keen to get another series in the bag as soon as it was deemed safe.
“They’re going to start filming in September when it’s likely the world will be a little more back to normal.
“Everything will be filmed within Covid-19 safety guidelines but the show will look just as authentic as it usually does.
“This new series will air on its home of E4 in 2022 – meaning it will have been almost two years since the last instalment in 2019.
“Brendan is ready and raring to go and cannot wait to get back on the coach.”
The last series of Coach Trip saw stars including Diversity’s Perri Kiely, 25, and comedian Stephen Bailey, 32, travel across Europe.
DJ Adele Roberts, 42, and her girlfriend, actress Kate Holderness, 37, were crowned the winners after a two week trip, which started in Saint Tropez, France, and ended in Barcelona, in Spain.
Brendan, who is a professional tour guide, has been the host of the show since it first aired in 2005.
The last time there was a non-celebrity series of Coach Trip about 2019.
Speaking about his favourite Coach Trip destinations, Brendan said: “I used to live and work in Barcelona, so I always love going back there.
“It’s a beautiful city. It hasn’t been spoilt.
“There’s nothing like going down the Grand Canal in Venice, that’s amazing. I love Rome, Florence is stunning, Pisa.
