Good Morning Britain blunder as Sam Allardyce’s phone rings live on air – and he looks mortified
FOOTIE boss Sam Allardyce scored an own goal today as his phone rang live on air during a chat on Good Morning Britain.
The ex-England manager - known as Big Sam - looked mortified over the blunder as he tried to silence the noise.
He was speaking to hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley about England's upcoming clash with Denmark on Wednesday in the semi-final of the Euros.
"It's looking like a very, very good game and an interesting game," said Sam.
"Of course we would hope that our home advantage and our fans will play a big part in getting us over the line."
His phone then started ringing out - which made Susanna and Richard laugh as he attempted to turn it off without addressing what had happened.
"Oh hello," shouted Richard.
Susanna laughed: "That's someone saying they can see you on telly."
Sam failed to say anything to shrug off the gaffe.
Instead he looked embarrassed as he fiddled with his phone in an attempt to end the incoming call and put it on silent.
Sam then carried on with the interview to talk about England's Euros success.
Gareth Southgate's side cruised to their first Euro's semi-final in 25 years on Saturday night as they thrashed Ukraine 4-0.
Millions partied deep into the night in packed pubs, parks and streets across the country - while 5,000 Three Lions fans roared on the team in Rome.
The win set up a titanic clash with Denmark at Wembley in front of a boosted home crowd of 60,000 on Wednesday night - with PM Boris Johnson hailing an "outstanding performance".
Harry Kane netted twice either side of Harry Maguire's header before Jordan Henderson added a fourth.
