Appearing on Good Morning Britain this morning, Shannon explained she was totally blindsided by the shock dumping.
"It was actually quite funny because looking back I opened up the text and I was quite smug," said Shannon.
"Just because I thought I was going on a date. I totally forgot that people got dumped.
"It was kind of weird. I felt like I was proper winded when I read it because I was just so shocked."
Shannon also reacted to the disgusting death threats sent to her co-star Chloe Burrows.
Her family - who are managing her social media while she's in the villa - have brought in the police to help them track down the vile trolls
They say she's received hundreds of death threats after she paired up with Aaron Francis leaving Shannon single.
Shannon added: "We are in 2021, guys. Her family came out with the statement about the death threats and stuff she is getting, which I totally don't condone at all.
"It is a game show, she has got a job to do.The fact she is receiving such horrible feedback from everyone it's not really nice.
"Everyone needs to practise what they preach which is 'be kind'."
Chloe's family said they understood the "frustration" that Shannon was sent home but that Chloe "does not deserve to die" because of it.
