THE first official date of the new series of Love Island proved a hit — with things hotting up between Toby Aromolaran and Kaz Kamwi.
The semi-pro footballer, 22, received a text reading: “Toby and Kaz. It’s time for your first date. Get ready to leave the Villa. #SheShoots #HeScores”
Toby and 26-year-old fashion blogger Kaz enjoyed a romantic date by the sea — and the conversation flowed like the bubbly.
Kaz admitted: “My football knowledge is not great. All I know is there is a ref, a keeper and a bench.”
Toby joked: “I’m there sometimes as well, chilling.”
Later, he asked: “On the outside if I said second date?” She said: “On the outside, yeah, I’d say yes.”
But their double act did not get off to a flying start on Monday’s show when Kaz was the last girl to be picked and Toby ended up with her by default.

Viewers took to Twitter to suggest race might have played a part in her being selected last, just like Yewande Biala in 2019.
Yewanda told Capital XTRA radio that Love Island should hire more black producers.
She added: “Casting contestants who are into dating black women would help as well.”
