ALL CHANGE

Love Island fans left fuming as show makes drastic change to iconic ‘I’ve got a text’ moment

LOVE Island fans were left fuming this evening as the show made a shock change to one of its most iconic catchphrases.

Chloe Burrows was revealed to be the first bombshell of the series at the end of tonight's launch episode, and will be entering the villa to steal one of the men.

Toby was shocked to receive a voicenote in today's launch

But instead of teasing her arrival via text, as usual, Love Island producers opted for a bizarre change.

After hearing his text tone, Toby Aromolaran told the other Islanders: "I've got a voicenote", before playing the sultry message from Chloe.

She purred down the line: "Hey boys, how are you? Chloe here. I've just arrived and I'm outside the front of the villa.

Viewers at home were shocked by the scene - but not by the bombshell twist or Chloe taking one of the other girl's partners.

Instead, they were outraged that a voicenote had replaced the traditional written text.

Taking to Twitter, one fan moaned: "'I've got a voice note'??? WTF IS THIS S**T. WHERE’S THE 'I’ve got a text!!'"

Another ranted: "I’ve got a voice note just doesn’t have the same ring to it".

A third agreed: "Bring back 'I got a text' - not here for this voice note nonsense. Voice notes are for 5 minute rants, not bombshells."

One more echoed: "This voice note thing better not be permanent…"

Elsewhere in tonight's launch, fans were convinced that hunky Jake Cornish was actually last year's winter champ Finley Tapp making a comeback as they noted how alike the two men look.

Jake and Finn even share the same raunchy fetish, leaving viewers further floored.
