GOOD Morning Britain's Susanna Reid was abandoned on air AGAIN today after new stand-in co-host Martin Lewis went missing.

Shocked Charlotte Hawkins nervously laughed and said: "He's gone already!"

"Was it something you said?"

A frustrated Susanna, 50, threw her hands in the air and pointed out the empty seat beside her.

"I don't know what I said!" she replied.

But Martin had only nipped to the loo in the advert break, getting lost backstage.

The camera whipped around to show Martin rushing through the studio door.

He said: "The truth is people when you're new to a job and you've been drinking tea since 7 O'clock this morning and you can't find the loo in the ad break you might occasionally be back late to your seat."

Susanna couldn't resist having a dig at her former co-host Piers Morgan, who stormed off air back in March.

She said: "We've got an issue with people leaving the studio on this programme. So I'm glad you're back."

The studio crew burst out laughing, but Martin kept his head down and sipped on his tea and refused to comment.

TV consumer champion Martin took Piers' old spot for the first time today after 15 years as the programme's resident money expert.

GMB has replaced Piers with an ever-changing roster of male stars since he quit in March.

They've includec Adil Ray, Richard Madeley and even Piers' old rival Alastair Campbell, alongside regular host Ben Shephard.

In July last year Martin admitted he was bowing out of GMB to focus on his own ITV series, The Martin Lewis Money Show.

He said: "I hope to still pop on Good Morning Britain, it's been a wonderful 15-odd years on ITV daytime."
