Love Island’s Dr Alex George goes Instagram official with secret girlfriend Ellie and calls her the ‘apple of his eye’

LOVE Island's Dr Alex George has gone 'Instagram official' with his stunning new girlfriend - after dating her for six months.

The NHS frontline doc, 30, is on holiday in Cornwall with barristers' clerk Ellie Hecht and yesterday posed with her at a cider farm.

With a pint in one hand, Dr Alex posed with an arm around her before kissing her on the head.

He captioned the pic, with a nod to the fact they were at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm: "The 🍎 of my eye."

She replied: "My ❤️."

A source told the yesterday: "'Alex and Ellie have been dating for six months now, and it's beginning to get serious between them.

"They're currently enjoying some much-earned time away in Cornwall, where they've been relaxing and spending time together outdoors."

Alex has posted all about his holiday online, though his companion had only been seen in glimpses.

Sharing a picture in St Agnes, Cornwall, yesterday Alex wrote that he was "ON ME HOLIDAYS 🌞".

He added:"Ok, the sun might not be out yet but I am absolutely loving getting away for some chill time 🙌.

"The coast is so beautiful here, there is much stomping to be done. I might have to try a Cornish pasty and of course a local cider or two. Just what the doctor ordered 😊."

Alex and Ellie had posted very similar pictures to one another, what appeared to be the same heaving seafood platter at Rick Stein's restaurant.

The Sun contacted a rep for Dr Alex who did not respond.
