BBC BREAKFAST viewers are used to seeing Louise Minchin waking them up every weekday morning with the daily news.
But, back in June 2021 the broadcaster, 52, revealed that she was leaving the daily show.

When is Louise leaving BBC Breakfast?
Louise's last day on BBC Breakfast was TODAY (September 15, 2021).
She hosted the show from 6.30am until 9am.
Tweeting a picture of herself in the studio today, she wrote: "Good morning and thank you for all your love support and messages xxxx last #sofaselfie #BBCBreakfast."
Louise is looking forward to spending more time with husband David, who she married in 1998, and their two daughters.
Why is Louise Minchin leaving BBC Breakfast?
On June 8, 2021, Louise told BBC Breakfast viewers that 2021 will be her last year on the show.
An exact reason is yet to be revealed, but she hinted that she was leaving to give herself a break from early mornings.

In an emotional statement, she said: “I have absolutely loved being part of the 6 million strong BBC Breakfast family but after nearly two decades presenting the programme, I have decided it is time I stopped setting my alarm for 0340 in the morning.
"A big thank you to everyone who has watched and supported me, I have loved it and I will miss you all.”
Some sources say she is being approached by I’m A Celebrity bosses about joining the 2021 line-up.

When did Louise Minchin start presenting BBC Breakfast?
Louise first presented Breakfast in 2001 and moved with the famous red sofa to Media City in Salford as a lead presenter in 2012.
In 2019 she fronted the programme’s ground-breaking Wake Up To Menopause campaign and she took up endurance sport after competing in a BBC Breakfast Christmas cycling challenge.
She has gone on to compete internationally for the GB triathlon team in her age group.

Along with interviewing the UK’s main political and party leaders, career highlights on the show include interviewing Sir David Attenborough, the Duchess of Cambridge, Billie Eilish, Jeff Goldblum, George Clooney, and Angelina Jolie.
Meanwhile Louise said of her time on the show: "I will take so many memories with me.
"This includes reporting on the shock and anguish of the Manchester Arena bombing; starting a national conversation about Menopause; and the life-changing moment I took part in the Breakfast Christmas Cycling Challenge which inspired my ongoing passion for endurance sport, which I will continue when I leave."
