The Masked Dancer fans furious after show is cancelled tomorrow night because of the football

THE Masked Dancer fans have been left furious after discovering the show is cancelled on Wednesday night because of the football.

The Masked Singer spin-off series has aired every night on ITV since it started on Saturday, with four celebrities being unmasked so far.

However, at the end of tonight's show, it was revealed the next episode wouldn't air until Thursday, to make way for England's World Cup qualifying match against Austria.

The news left fans horrified as they're desperate to know the identities of the remaining characters including Car Wash, Frog and Scarecrow.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "@MaskedSingerUK isn’t on tomorrow night and I’m not ok by that Disappointed face #MaskedDancerUK."

Another tweeted: "What? It's not on tomorrow? #MaskedDancerUK."

A third added alongside a gif of a small girl crying: "When you find out The Masked Dancer isn’t on tomorrow night."

Meanwhile an equally annoyed viewer wrote: "No show tomorrow because of England’s useless friendly. #maskeddanceruk."

Tonight's show saw Olympian Eddie the Eagle unmasked as Rubber Chicken.

Eddie, 57, became the first competitor since 1928 to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping at the Winter Olympics in 1988.

He famously finished last in the 70m and 90m events, and his story was turned into a film in 2016 starring Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman.

When asked by Oti Mabuse if he had had dance lessons, Eddie revealed he danced Jive in his spare time.

Host Joel Dommett asked if he'd enjoyed being part of the show and Eddie replied: "It has been the most amazing time, I loved it, I could just play, I had so much fun."

The Masked Dancer continues on Thursday, June 3 at 7.30pm on ITV.
