Beat The Chasers viewers shocked as Dom Joly AND Gregg Wallace take the panel down and win huge sums
BEAT The Chasers viewers were left shocked when Dom Joly AND Gregg Wallace managed to take down the quiz experts during tonight's instalment.
The ITV show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, saw five new famous faces try to win a lump sum of money for their chosen charity.
The comedian and MasterChef star were joined by Brenda Edwards, EastEnders star Jake Wood and Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
But only two managed to beat Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Shaun Wallace, Jenny Ryan and Darragh Ennis.
Just minutes ino the show Dom got extremely lucky.
As the Chasers got stuck on an EastEnders question, their time ran out and he jumped with joy as he realised that he had just pocketed £50,000.
The funnyman confessed: "I did not see that coming. I'm just so happy!"
The star then said to the quizzers: "I know you're upset but that money is going to something that really seriously needs it."
But that wasn't the only success tonight during the celeb special.
Telly presenter Gregg was playing to raise money for The Matt Hampson Foundation and decided to go for the £50,000 option, which meant taking on all five Chasers.
In the final few seconds of the show, Mark stumbled on a question to do with rituals, meaning that Gregg managed to win the money.
As the celebratory confetti fell from the roof of the studio he shouted: "You're kidding me!"
Bradley said to the defeated quizzers: "What a performance that was!"
Greg continued: "I watch it on the telly and people just stare at the floor and they don't get distracted. I didn't even know what was going on!"
