DIY YES-O-YES

Inside Nick Knowles’s cosy Cotswolds cottage with wine collection and huge garden as his job on DIY SOS is saved

NICK Knowles has let fans look inside his Cotswolds cottage with a wine collection and a huge garden.

The DIY SOS star, 58 – whose job on the home renovation show was recently saved – moved from London to his Cotswolds home in 2017.

Nick keeps his huge garden in tip top condition, growing flowers and other plants in his allotment-like space.

With a white shed at the back, he has split the space into various sections, showing off the daffodils when they’re in bloom.

It also backs onto huge field and in the winter shared a beautiful picture of them covered in snow.

The star’s living room has neutral walls and a wide open space, with pictures of his kids hanging up.

His kitchen is similarly filled with greenery, with a hanging plant on the counter, flowers in the vase and a huge tropical plant behind him.

He also has a wine collection, lining the wooden shelves alongside his books.

This comes a day after Nick’s DIY SOS job was saved – after he rowed with BBC chiefs over an advert for cereal.

But after they made an 11th hour U-turn, Nick, 58, said: “I have always said that DIY SOS is more than just a presenting job for me, it’s part of me.

“It has my heart and working for the BBC for over 22 years is something I have never taken for granted.

“I will continue filming new episodes of DIY SOS over the coming months and will be back on your screens with the purple shirts next year.”

Nick — who has fronted the hugely popular show for 21 years — landed himself in hot water with executives by playing a builder in a commercial for Shreddies.

The big money deal was at odds with Beeb rules, prompting a major dispute in which he was threatened with the axe if he did not pull out of the campaign.
