Love Island set to return to Majorca as workmen are spotted moving in to iconic villa to build show set
LOVE Island is set to return to its iconic Majorcan villa as workmen are pictured grafting to get it into shape for the summer.
The Sun can exclusively reveal work on the site is in full swing with heavy machinery, portable offices and building materials in abundance.
There are also boards with clear coronavirus rules written on dotted around the site to stop any potential spread of the disease.
A source told us: "Love Island bosses are determined to return to the villa this summer and have worked hard to make it happen.
"Although they are confident the series will go ahead in the original location, there are still concerns over rules suddenly changing. However, at the moment it's looking good."
It comes after The Sun on Sunday revealed bosses want to make this year’s series the most inclusive yet – with ITV sources saying staff have been on the hunt for bisexual islanders.
Show chiefs briefed that they would be happy if 40 per cent of contestants were attracted to both men and women.
They are hoping to heighten the drama on the hit ITV2 series with unexpected romances.
One source told us: “Love Island has always been inclusive – the only criteria is that you’re over 18 and looking for love.
“But this is the first year that finding contestants with more fluid sexuality has been part of the briefing.
“The casting team have been doing their best to tick that box as they whittle down the pool of contestants to the final numbers.”

Love Island welcomed its first openly bisexual star, Katie Salmon, to the villa in 2016.
Our source added: “The advantage Love Island has over these shows is that the pairings are organic. No one puts them together, they choose each other. So there is the potential for genuine same-sex relationships.”
