Big Brother voice over Marcus Bentley is the latest signing for Amazon’s Now That’s Entertainment
BIG Brother's iconic voiceover man Marcus Bentley is back - having bagged a gig on talent show Now That's Entertainment.
The X Factor-style show recently enjoyed a run on Amazon Prime but without any celebrity names.
In a big push for the show's next installment, it has been revealed that Marcus, 53, will takeover the series' voiceover duties.
The Geordie narrator shared his excitement to voice his first talent show while also admitting he felt "lost" after his Big Brother gig ended in 2018.
He told : "None of us knew it would ever be so big. I do feel a bit lost without it.
"I’ve got no doubt that it’s only a matter of time before it gets recommissioned. I’m happy to finally be coming back to the screens for my first ever talent show voiceover.
"Over the years of people-watching on Big Brother, I know how to spot a star – someone like Jade Goody – and I think we’re going to find one in this series of Now That’s Entertainment."
Marcus narrated all 19 series of Big Brother since 2000, even following the show to Channel 5 after it was axed from Channel 4.
As well as narrating Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother since their inception in the UK, Marcus has also narrated some BB spin-off shows.
He did voiceover for Big Brother Countdown and Ultimate Big Brother, as well as narrating a documentary about Celebrity Big Brother's Chantelle Houghton.
Although he's most famous for his voiceover work, Marcus has a degree in acting from East 15 school and pursued acting roles before getting the Big Brother job.
He used his famous Geordie accent starring in adaptations of Catherine Cookson novels, set in Newcastle and County Durham. He's also starred in adverts and had a few minor film roles.
Marcus will join Sam Bailey as well as BGT winner Richard Jones and George Sampson on the series.
Former soldier Richard won BGT in 2016 with his impressive magic tricks, while dancer George won in 2008 at the age of 14.
Sam has had an illustrious career on stage since winning X Factor in 2013, and her single Xmas Number One heading straight to the top of the charts.
