Who is Switzerland's Eurovision entry Gjon's Tears?
Gjon’s Tears, real name Gjon Muharremaj, is a Swiss singer and songwriter.
Gjon (pronounced John), 22, has been singing for years. At just 12-year-old, he competed on the first series of Albania’s Got Talent in 2011, finishing in third place.
In 2019, he appeared on France’s The Voice: la plus belle voix and made it through to the semi-finals.
Gjon's debut single “Babi” went to number one in Albania.
Gjon's Tears says: "Whether it's joy, sadness or melancholy – I want to touch people with my music in every possible way."
What song is Gjon's Tears singing at Eurovision 2021?
Gjon's Tears will be performing Tout l'Univers this year, which translates to The Whole Universe.
The song is co-written by Nina Sampermans, Wouter Hardy and Xavier Michel.
Ahead of his Eurovision performance, Gjon said: "The biggest pressure is coming from myself. I am scared of myself, not of the entire 200 million people who watch the show."
