Line Of Duty’s Martin Compston warns fans they will need therapy after next episode
LINE Of Duty star Martin Compston has warned fans they will need therapy after the next hard-hitting episode.
The actor, 36, teased about Sunday night’s next instalment from the thrilling top cop drama everyone’s talking about.
Sharing a snap of his character DI Steve Arnott running with a bullet proof vest, he wrote on Instagram: “Episode 5 kicks off as stores re-open and there’s a sale on waistcoats.
“In all seriousness though if you thought Ep 4 ended on a cliffhanger, you’ll need therapy by the end of Ep5.”
This week, sinister Detective Chief Superintendent Patricia Carmichael will return with a brand new look.
The battleaxe – played by actress Anna Maxwell Martin in series five -nearly saw her AC-12 nemesis, Supt Ted Hastings, banged up as a bent copper after she was brought in to investigate from rival unit, AC-3.
The hero chief, played by Adrian Dunbar, was only saved from being framed by DS Steve Arnott, played by Martin Compston, and DI Kate Fleming, played by Vicky McClure.
Although, fans will have to wait until Sunday night’s episode to see why she’s back.
Meanwhile spoiler pictures show the return of prisoner officer Alison Merchant at gunpoint.
Her work for an underground criminal group has her planted as a prison guard to keep potential witnesses quiet.
This has included pouring boiling water on people and breaking their wrists while supposedly in protective custody.
In filming pics from late last year, Alison is seen being marched to a police car at gunpoint, clearly having had her cover blow.
Given her own work, we can’t see her grassing any of her fellow criminals up, as she knows all too well what the consequences may be.
